By accessing or using CrabPod ("the App"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

CrabPod is a mobile application designed to help users track and manage the care of hermit crabs, isopods, and similar exotic pets. The App provides features including:

• Enclosure management and tracking
• Environment monitoring (temperature, humidity)
• Pet profiles and molt tracking
• Care logging and reminders
• Analytics and insights (Premium feature)
• iCloud synchronization

3. Free and Premium Services

3.1 Free Version

CrabPod offers a free version with the following limitations:

• Maximum of 3 enclosures
• Advertisements displayed within the app
• Limited access to advanced analytics features

4. Subscription Terms

4.1 Billing

• Subscription options include monthly and yearly plans
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Prices are displayed in your local currency within the App

4.2 Auto-Renewal

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• Renewal price equals the current subscription price

4.3 Managing Your Subscription

• You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime through your Apple ID Account Settings
• Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → CrabPod
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds for partial subscription periods

4.4 Free Trial

If offered, free trial periods allow you to try Premium features at no cost. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged.

5. User Responsibilities

By using CrabPod, you agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful purposes
• Provide accurate information when using the App
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or distribute the App
• Not use the App to harm, harass, or infringe on others' rights
• Be solely responsible for your pet care decisions

All content, features, and functionality of CrabPod, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, are the exclusive property of CrabPod and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of CrabPod is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CrabPod and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data
• Loss of profits
• Personal injury or property damage
• Any damages arising from use or inability to use the App

10. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms of Use periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
