Welcome to InvertMate ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with our mobile application InvertMate (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

2. Information We DON'T Collect

InvertMate is built with a privacy-first approach. We do NOT collect, store, transmit, or share:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
• Device information or identifiers
• Location data
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Invertebrate care data (feeding logs, watering schedules, photos, notes)
• Any other user-generated content

3. How Your Data is Stored

All data you enter into InvertMate is stored locally on your device using:

• Local Storage: Your invertebrate records, photos, logs, and preferences are saved directly to your device's storage
• iCloud Sync (Optional): If you enable iCloud in your device settings, your data may sync across your personal Apple devices through Apple's iCloud service. This is controlled entirely by you through iOS settings and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy

We have no access to data stored on your device or synced through iCloud.

4. Photos and Camera Access

InvertMate may request access to your camera and photo library to allow you to:

• Take photos of your invertebrates
• Select existing photos from your library

All photos are stored locally on your device. We do not upload, analyze, or process your photos on any external servers.

5. Notifications

If you enable notifications, InvertMate will send local reminders for:

• Feeding schedules
• Watering reminders
• Care alerts

These notifications are generated locally on your device. No data is sent to external servers to provide this functionality.

6. Premium Features

InvertMate offers optional premium features through in-app purchases. When you make a purchase:

• The transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store
• We do not collect or store your payment information
• Apple may share limited purchase information with us to verify your premium status
• We only receive a receipt validation token - no financial details

7. Third-Party Services

InvertMate may integrate with the following Apple services:

• App Store / StoreKit: For in-app purchases
• iCloud: For optional data syncing (user-controlled)

These services are operated by Apple Inc. and subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

8. Data Security

Since all your data remains on your device:

• Your data security depends on your device's security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)
• We recommend enabling device security features
• Keep your iOS updated for the latest security patches
• If you lose your device, your InvertMate data is protected by your device's security

9. Children's Privacy

InvertMate does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since all data remains on the device, there is no collection of personal information from users of any age.

10. Data Backup and Export

You have complete control over your data:

• iOS Backup: Your InvertMate data is included in your device's standard iOS backups
• Export Function: You can export your data at any time through the app's export feature
• Deletion: You can delete all your data by uninstalling the app or using the in-app data deletion feature

11. International Users

InvertMate is available worldwide. Since all data processing occurs on your device, there are no international data transfers to worry about. Your data never leaves your device unless you choose to use Apple's iCloud sync feature.

12. Your Rights

Since we don't collect your data, you maintain complete control:

• Access: All your data is accessible within the app at all times
• Modification: You can edit any of your data directly in the app
• Deletion: You can delete specific records or all data at any time
• Portability: You can export your data in standard formats

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
• Posting the new policy in the app
• Providing an in-app notification for material changes

Your continued use of InvertMate after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
